Scope and Contents
The Vocations Promotion Collection covers the correspondence and administrative structures regarding vocational discernment and novice recruitment within the Province of St. Albert the Great. Spanning from 1952 to 1990, the collection includes contains two series. The first series, Office of the Promoter of Vocations, constains correspondence and reports from the Office of the Promoter of Vocations and is separated into subseries by changing title, from Promoter of Vocations (1952–1969) to Director of Vocations (1969–1973), Coordinator of Vocations (1973–1981), and the reinstated Promoter of Vocations (1981–present). The subseries are then sorted by the respective tenure of each Promoter, Director, or Coordinator of Vocations.
The second series includes records from the Admissions Board from 1970 to 1980. The Admissions Board reviews and votes on the admittance of novices into the Novitiate.
The collection is housed in two boxes, with each series composing one box each.
