Scope and Contents
This series contains material relating to the formation, community correspondence, and dissolution of the Summit House community in Albuquerque from 1994 to 2002. The majority of files are correspondence and canonical documents relating to Fr. Thomas C. Moore, OP. The files show the variety of Dominican life in smaller communities and in non-institutional roles.

Biographical / Historical
Several friars at the St. Thomas Aquinas Priory in Albuquerque, most notably Fr. Thomas C. More, OP, expressed a desire to live in a smaller community and focus on non-campus ministry work. Beginning in 1994, the community lived in an apartment complex nearby the University of New Mexico before financial and logistical problems resulted in its suppression in 2002.
