Novitiate Journal Collection
This collection contains 30 volumes covering events and notes from novitiate classes between 1940 and 1968 and a one journal from 1987-1988. Each class, running from August to June of the following year, had one novice chronicle their experiences a bound book. Additionally, there are two volumes from the cooperator novitiate and house of studies at St. Thomas Aquinas Priory in River Forest with entries from 1946 to 1965, covering 1943-1954 and 1953-1965.
Order Government
Contains the Acta of the General Chapters, Constitutions and Rule, Publications, and Institutional materials from the overall governance of the Order of Preachers.
Personal Files
Personal information and documents of friars of the Province who have transfered, left the order, or are deceased.The entries available here are to aid researchers looking for a particular name before contacting the archivist. Obituaries, and photos when avaible, will be added for friars who have passed away. Access is available upon permission of the Provincial.
Prior Provincial Records
This collection covers the writings and communication of Provincials in the duties of their office from the Province's inception in 1939 to 2023. The collection is contained in three boxes and is primarily composed of letters written to friars of the province alongside any personal communication that relates to their position but not to an existing collection. Photographs, sermons, and other media are included when applicable.
Promotional Vocation Materials
The Vocation Promotional Materials Collection documents the Dominican Order's efforts to promote religious vocations, with a focus on the Province of St. Albert the Great. Spanning three boxes, the collection includes pamphlets, ephemera, and audio-visual media that highlight the Dominican charism and vocational ministry.

Provincial Council Meeting Records
This collection comprises materials from Provincial Council Meetings, held quarterly among provincial leaders. Spanning from 1960 to 2015, it includes bound minutes, agendas, supplementary documents, and related correspondence, organized into XXX boxes.
Because of the sensitive nature of this collection, it is only available upon prior approval of the Provincial.
Provincial Directories Collection
This collection contains annual directories for Dominican Provinces. Directories are created every year by Provinces and contain information on leadership, communities, and professed friars. The four provinces in the United States are the most complete and contain several boxes each while there is a smaller selection for 33 other provinces.

Puerto Rico Dominican Records
Contains materials related to the assignment of Puerto Rico to the Province of St. Albert the Great in 2021. The bulk of historical files are located in Puerto Rico.
Reality/Listening Journal Records
This collection contains bound and unbound issues of the Dominican journals Reality (1950–1964) and Listening (1965–2005), the complete two-volume series Listening Press Studies in Religion and Culture, and related materials including editorial correspondence and advertising mailers.
Sacred Vessels
This collection comprises Catholic liturgical artifacts, including 42 chalices, 16 patens, 11 cruets, and various sacred vessels and religious objects. The metallic items, such as chalices, patens, crucifixes, and ciborium, are stored in main archival storage to prevent tarnishing, while glass and other non-tarnishable materials are housed separately.
